The Challenge
Transmission system operators manage the backbone of the electricity grid where reliability requirements are the most stringent. Protection systems must operate within milliseconds, communicate via IEC 61850 GOOSE messaging, and support redundant Ethernet architectures. How We Help
For transmission-level protection we specify ABB Relion 630 series or Schneider Electric PowerLogic P5x30 and P7 relays with dual redundant Ethernet, IEC 61850 Ed.2 and PRP/HSR redundancy. For power quality compliance we specify Janitza UMG 512-PRO with Class A IEC 61000-4-30 certification. For substation digitalization we specify IEC 61850-based communication architectures and SCADA integration.
