Substation Digitalization
Bringing IEC 61850 communication and digital measurement to new and existing secondary substations.
The Challenge
DSOs and TSOs are under pressure to digitalize their substation infrastructure — migrating from hardwired relay panels to IEC 61850-based systems with GOOSE messaging, sampled values and centralized data acquisition. The challenge is not just product selection but systems integration: ensuring that protection relays, measurement devices, RTUs and SCADA communicate reliably, and that legacy and modern equipment can coexist during the transition.
Our Approach
We review your substation architecture and identify digitalization priorities — protection, measurement, or full IEC 61850 migration.
We recommend IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices) with the correct IEC 61850 edition support and logical node configuration.
We advise on RTU and gateway selection to bridge legacy Modbus or DNP3 devices to IEC 61850 or ICCP.
We provide compatible protection relays, power quality analyzers and fault indicators that support digital communication protocols.
We assist with IED engineering documentation — SCD files, logical device configuration and GOOSE mapping.
