The BR7000 is EPCOS/TDK's most advanced automatic power factor correction controller, designed for industrial and commercial installations requiring true 3-phase measurement, up to 15 switching stages and supply voltage compatibility up to 440V. Unlike the BR6000 which uses single-phase measurement, the BR7000 measures reactive power on all three phases independently, enabling accurate PFC in installations with phase-unbalanced loads and supporting operation from the 3-phase supply voltage. The controller includes a built-in oscilloscope display mode for network voltage quality analysis during commissioning and troubleshooting. The BR7000 supports MV metering applications through external voltage transformers connected to the measurement input, making it suitable for MV/LV substations where reactive power is monitored and corrected at the MV level. The single-phase balancing control function manages unequal reactive power distribution across phases, important in industrial installations with significant single-phase reactive loads. RS485 Modbus communication enables integration with building energy management and industrial SCADA systems. Typical applications include large industrial production facilities with heavy and variable reactive power loads, data centres and commercial buildings with UPS and variable speed drive installations, MV/LV substations where PFC performance is measured at the MV side, and industrial installations requiring 3-phase reactive power management with SCADA reporting.
