Temperature & Humidity Controllers

When condensation, partial-discharge risk and surface-flashover risk must be controlled inside switchgear panels or electrical enclosures, the THC-100D, THC-102 and THC-202 controllers are what we specify. They monitor temperature and relative humidity and activate enclosure-heater control when the temperature falls or humidity rises.
About this product
Application
THC-100D, THC-102 and THC-202 are used to control condensation and reduce partial-discharge and surface-flashover risk in switchgear panels, electrical enclosures and substation equipment.
These devices do not measure or monitor partial discharge. They help maintain more stable insulation conditions by controlling temperature and relative humidity inside the enclosure.
Operating Principle
- The heater-control output is activated when the temperature falls below the configured level.
- The heater-control output is activated when relative humidity rises above the configured level.
- Heater operation increases the enclosure temperature and reduces relative humidity.
- This helps limit condensation and moisture accumulation on insulation surfaces.
Model Selection
- THC-100D Type A: Uses an external temperature and humidity sensor. It has no display. Its two relays operate together when the temperature falls or relative humidity rises.
- THC-100D Type B: Uses an external temperature and humidity sensor. It has no display. Its temperature and humidity relays operate independently.
- THC-102: Uses integrated temperature and humidity sensing to measure the environment where it is installed. It has no display and has one relay output.
- THC-202: Uses one integrated temperature and humidity sensor to measure the environment where it is installed. It has a display and one relay output.
Common Features
- All models are DIN-rail mounted.
- Sensor-fault detection is available on all models.
- THC-100D and THC-102 provide temperature and humidity indication through LEDs.
- THC-202 provides temperature and humidity indication through LEDs and the display.
