About this product

The OVI+ is Orion EE's baseline capacitive voltage indicator for MV switchgear, providing three-phase voltage presence indication to comply with IEC 62271-213 without requiring auxiliary power supply or relay outputs. It connects to LRM (Low Power Resistive-Capacitive) voltage dividers installed in the switchgear busbars and panel terminals, using the energy from the capacitive divider signal to power the display and indicator circuits without any external power connection. The large LCD display shows the voltage status of all three phases simultaneously and is readable from across the switchgear aisle, meeting the operational safety requirements of secondary substation personnel. The OVI+ forms the baseline of the Orion EE voltage indicator range. It accepts an optional AMP (Accessory Mounting Platform) connection for add-on functions and supports direct earthing rod connection for personnel protection during maintenance operations. The device is designed for direct flush mounting in standard MV switchgear panel cutouts and is compatible with LRM voltage divider systems across the major MV switchgear manufacturers. Typical applications include DSO secondary substation ring main units and compact substations, industrial MV switchgear panels and utility distribution switchboards where the primary requirement is IEC 62271-213 compliance with minimum wiring complexity. When relay outputs, additional display features or enhanced IP protection are required, the OVI+R, OVI+S and OVI+SR models provide more capable configurations within the same Orion EE platform.
