The UMG 605-PRO is Janitza's DIN rail-mounted Class S power quality analyser for monitoring the incoming electrical supply of large industrial and commercial facilities, combining comprehensive power quality measurement with energy management functions in a format suitable for installation in primary distribution boards. The DIN rail mounting differentiates it from the panel-mounted UMG 96 series and makes it suitable for installation in large IEC 61439 distribution boards alongside circuit breakers and metering equipment without requiring dedicated panel cutouts. The device provides harmonics measurement to the 63rd order, energy metering with MID certification option, optional residual current monitoring module, 256MB data memory and a web server for local browser-based access. The broad communication protocol support including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, RS485, Ethernet, Profibus DP and Profinet ensures compatibility with virtually any industrial automation or building management system. Typical applications include large commercial buildings and shopping centres where incoming supply quality monitoring is required at the LV main distribution board, industrial facilities where the power quality at the main incomer must be monitored for production quality correlation, data centres and critical facilities where electrical infrastructure monitoring is part of the operational continuity programme, and multi-tenant commercial properties where incoming power quality data supports utility billing queries and service level agreements.
