The UMG 801 is the enterprise version of Janitza's modular measurement platform, extending the UMG 800 architecture with enhanced cybersecurity features and native OPC UA integration for direct connection to ERP systems, industrial IoT platforms and building management systems without additional gateways. The UMG 801 is specifically designed for organisations where OPC UA-based data integration is the primary requirement and cybersecurity certification is essential for network admission. The device supports the same modular expansion architecture as the UMG 800 with interchangeable function modules for current, RCM and temperature measurement channels, providing the same flexibility to scale the monitoring infrastructure over time. A remote display option is available for installations where the base unit is mounted inside a locked cabinet but display visibility from outside the enclosure is required. Typical applications include enterprise energy management programmes in large industrial groups and commercial property portfolios where measurement data must flow directly into corporate ERP and energy management information systems, critical infrastructure facilities where cybersecurity certification is a network admission requirement, and industrial IoT deployments where power quality and energy data must be integrated with production monitoring and asset management platforms in a unified OPC UA data architecture.
