The V-Mate is Orion EE's capacitive voltage signal amplifier and distributor, designed for switchgear configurations where a single LRM capacitive voltage divider tap point must simultaneously supply multiple voltage indicator devices. Standard capacitive voltage divider circuits are designed to supply one indicator device — connecting multiple indicators in parallel degrades the signal amplitude and can cause false readings or loss of indication. The V-Mate resolves this by amplifying and actively distributing the CVD signal to multiple outputs without degradation, ensuring that all connected indicators receive the correct signal level regardless of the load. The device complies with IEC 61869-1 and IEC 61869-11 measurement standards and is transparent to the indicator devices it feeds — each output provides a signal identical to a direct divider connection. This enables configurations where a single busbar divider point must feed both an OVI+ voltage indicator and a protection relay voltage input, or where multiple indication devices are required on the same phase due to panel layout constraints. Typical applications include switchgear panels with both voltage indication and protection or metering using the same CVD tap, bus section arrangements where one divider serves two adjacent panel positions, and retrofit installations where an existing single-output divider circuit must be extended to supply additional indicator devices added during a panel upgrade.
