The V-Mate is Orion EE’s voltage signal amplifier designed for applications using LPVTs and voltage sensors in measurement, protection, and power quality systems. LPVTs and voltage sensors generate accurate and stable low-level voltage signals, typically around 3.25/√3 V, which are not directly compatible with the standard voltage inputs of conventional protection relays, PQ analyzers, metering devices, and other IED equipment. V-Mate amplifies these low-level sensor signals to standardized secondary voltage levels such as 100/√3 V, 110/√3 V or 120/√3 V, enabling seamless integration with existing protection and measurement infrastructures. The amplification process is performed without introducing phase shift or compromising measurement accuracy, while maintaining the required burden characteristics for connected devices. The device complies with IEC 61869-1 and IEC 61869-11 standards and provides reliable, high-accuracy signal transmission for modern sensor-based medium-voltage systems.
