Retrofit & SCADA Integration
Extending the life of existing infrastructure and connecting legacy devices to modern control systems.
The Challenge
Most distribution networks contain a mix of equipment from different manufacturers and different eras — some with modern communication interfaces, many without. Replacing everything is expensive and disruptive. Retrofit — replacing protection and measurement components within existing switchgear panels — and SCADA integration through protocol converters and gateways offer a cost-effective path to modernization without replacing primary equipment.
Our Approach
We assess your existing switchgear type, age and available panel space to determine retrofit feasibility.
We identify replacement protection relays and measurement devices that fit existing physical dimensions and wiring schemes.
We select protocol converters and RTUs that can bridge legacy devices (without communication) to your SCADA or DMS.
We advise on LPVT retrofit — replacing old oil-filled VTs with compact electronic sensors — where applicable.
We provide complete retrofit bill of materials and support your engineering team through the technical specification process.
